"I Sorry"

At dinner tonight, Gavin decided to throw his entire plate of unwanted food onto the floor. There were peas, creamy noodles, and chicken for as far as the eye could see. Shannon immediately got up to start the cleaning process all the while explaining to Gavin that this was not proper behavior. I looked at him disappointingly and said "say your sorry." Of course, he never does and we don't expect it but want him to get the idea. But as we got him down to help clean up the mess he made, he made a kissing sound on Shannon's arm, hugged him, and said "I sorry." Suddenly the mess he made wasn't so bad. It brought tears to my eyes.
