Welcome Home Daddy!

Yesterday Shannon arrived from his second deployment since Gavin was born just 3.5 years ago. We were rushing to get to Shannon's gate as we were issued boarding passes and Shannon had already arrived. But since I had forgotten what security was like and I had a purse full of NO-NO's I got flustered, "told them this was stupid" grabbed our stuff and turned back toward the main terminal. I'm surprised I didn't get shot. We had a photographer from Operation Love, a free program photographers around the nation volunteer for, in order to shoot FREE prints for homecomings and departures in deployment. Our photographer was great! I can't wait to see the shots. Gavin ran to Shannon and gave him a big hug and kiss. He said to me before daddy arrived, "I'm gonna kiss him and kiss him and kiss him"  After he got a big hug Gavin says, "Daddy I missed you all the days."  He laughed and smiled like he was in heaven.  He of course hasn't stopped talking to daddy and he gets very jealous when Shannon gives me any attention whatsoever. He told Shannon today as he hugged him, "Daddy I love you so much and I'm so glad you are home." Aww that's my little heart-breaker.
