It was a proud parent week. First, Gavin reads his first book. Then he learns to ride his bike. We bought it for him on Saturday. He sat on it but was afraid of us letting go. He wanted to do it so bad. Today, we put him on it and within the hour he was riding so fast we couldn't keep up on foot. He even learned how to stop it. I think by the end of the week he might just know how to turn while riding! I am so proud. The look of happiness and pride on his face swept me away. Parenting can be so challenging and so many times you'd just like to throw in the towel, but it's moments like these that help me keep on fighting. How lucky am I to experience all of these firsts with him and the joy on his face at his accomplishments. Blessed. Truly blessed!
