Cowboy Fun Day
Today I volunteered to help out at Gavin's school for Cowboy Fun Day and it was a fun day! The kids spent an hour broken up into small groups going through a series of fun games the teacher's had organized. Hula lasso the cow, pin the spur on the boot, rattle rattle rattlesnake, horse races, horse shoes, and more! Gavin's group was all boys and one girl and they were all so well behaved. Mrs. Julia has done a great job of teaching them listening skills, manners, and proper behavior. Gavin had such a good time and it was a joy to watch him interact with his friends. He was competitive and very good at all the games, but he was a good sport too. He waited his turn and gave his friends support by cheering them on. I get such a different outlook on him when he's at school versus at home alone with me. I really enjoyed watching him thrive in the school setting!
