Valentine's Day and 100 Day Party at School

Gavin, with the help of his dad, dressed this morning like an old man for 100 days of school. He wore corduroy pants and a tie shirt with a vest over the top. He carried a cane Shannon made as a prop. He wobbled into school today hunched over, walking at a snail's pace and holding character he lifts his cane points it at his friend Hagen and says, "Get off my lawn." Hagen's dad replies, "Well he really gets into it doesn't he?" Kid cracks me up! And I sure am glad he chose to be my boy in my earthly life.

Happy Valentine's Day to all the loves of my life!

Boys Will Be Boys

Before church discussions:

Shannon: Did you make your bed Gavin?
Gavin: Yes.
Shannon: I'm going to go inspect it to make sure.
Gavin: Are you going to check under the covers?
Shannon: Yes.
Gavin: (exit stage left) (returns a few minutes later) Ok, now you can check it.

Our boy also signed up for coach pitch baseball yesterday. The things we do for our kids. There goes my social life for the next several months. Not to mention the pains of finding a helmet that fits that mini head. How do people spend this kind of money on their kids on a regular basis for extra curricular activities? I don't understand it. But we'll see if he digs it and keep up with the "Kardashians" of society.
