Sweet Gesture

Gavin tells a lot of little white lies. Today it was a silly one, but he said he grabbed the golf ball we found on a walk and brought it home. I said, "If you are lying and I find the ball where we left it, then you have to make me dinner. Winner, winner chicken dinner." He agreed. Well I found the ball where we left it.

So when dinnertime comes around I tell him he has to hold his end of the deal. Poor kid thought I was joking. So he gets in the fridge and finds leftover lasagna and remembers the acupuncturist told me to eat only cooked veggies. He plates the lasagna and the cooked veggies from last night's dinner on a paper plate, gets the step stool, and nooks my dinner in the microwave all the while saying, "I think I can do this!"

He looks at me as I take my first bite of still cold lasagna, "Is it good?"

Yep, it's good kiddo. It's all good.
