VEX Worlds Robotics Championship in Dallas

It was a huge week for us at VEX Worlds Robotics Championship in Dallas TX.  Your 8th grade team made it here all on your own your first year of robotics.  What an accomplishment!  We couldn't be more proud standing on the sidelines watching you study other teams capabilities and discover and think up strategies to win.  You worked well together, prayed before every match and were a good sport about the losses (most of the time). You showed kindness and cheered on the winning teams.

As I write this on Mothers Day, I am blown away by your ability to grow and adapt and do great things. Being on the sidelines for this (hopefully not) once-in-a-lifetime event, was a huge honor.  I can't wait to see you do more incredible things as you move into High School at ASCTE.  We are hoping the connections we made this weekend will allow you to compete again one day.

You made it to the semi-finals and lost that first round paired with a California team, when your attempt to both climb the ramp caused your alliance team to flip over backwards.  It was a huge loss for all of you, but you should be proud of how far you made it.  You placed third in qualifications in your division that left you one of the top 21 teams in the World.

I can't wait to see what else you do in this great big world.  Thanks for letting me be your mom and giving me all these fantastic experiences. I'm your biggest fan.
