It's Father's Day weekend and you and your dad are on your yearly trip to Boy Scout camp. I wonder if one day you will look back and remember your dad was always there with you, enduring these HOT summer nights, breaking his back to sleep on cots and eat crappy meals - just to be with you and watch you grow because that is what his dad did.
This got me to thinking about the word father. What kind of father I had (your grandpa), what kind of father your own dad is, and what kind of father you will become.

Foundation on which to stand.
Example; yet perfectly imperfect.
Disciplinarian.
Loves without boundary; ferocious.
Encouraging. Reliable.
Male; strong.
Restraint; lets you make your own mistakes.
Sees you for who you are; looks forward to who you'll become.
Pops. Papa. Daddy. Dad. Father.
