Too funny not to post

Gavin had a playdate with his friend Jonah today at our house. They played in the pool together and ran around the house. Both wanting the same toy at the same time and then Jonah found Gavin's blankie. Oh boy, you do not steal Gavin's blankie. Gavin fussed and cried and that just made Jonah want it more. So I took it away from both of them and Gavin started begging for "nana" banana. Since it was almost dinner time and Gavin has no patience for waiting for dinner I gave him banana. Then Jonah wanted a banana so his mom gave him a cracker to tide him over. After they left, Gavin ran over to the coffee table where Jonah had devoured his cracker and said, "oh, no mess." It was too funny not to post. To think my son listens to every word I say even though I think he isn't listening. Here he is repeating something I've probably said a thousand times about his (or his dad's) messes!

Another funny story today. I got a message on my phone from Shannon saying he was almost home. He had been in San Antonio all week for work. I told Gavin "Daddy's on his way home." And he replied, "Hi daddy, mmmmwaaa." Blowing a kiss and sending a greeting as if he understood that he is still gone and he was sending his love for a safe trip home.
