Gavin watched Pinocchio tonight for the first time. After the movie, he couldn't stop talking about the donkeys. The movie never resolved what happened to the boys who were turned into donkeys so he asked me what happened to them. Now he keeps telling me he's angry and he's going to save the donkeys.
He also has a new found love for books by Margaret Read MacDonald. I have read him two of her folk tales about 20 times in the last several days.
Wants a Sister
Gavin talking to me at lunch today after playing at a friends house all morning. This friend has 3 older siblings.
Gavin: I want a sister.
Me: Well, mommy doesn't want to have any more babies.
Gavin: Why?
Sarah: Because having babies is hard work.
Gavin: Oh. Phooey!
