Independence

Gavin has made leaps and bounds in the last few months. He now has days (certainly not every one) where he listens! It's miraculous. He will now take his dishes to the sink for me to wash when he's done. He can completely dress himself, though sometimes shirts are inside out and pants are backwards. He makes his bed each and every morning.  He puts his shoes on and brushes his teeth every morning on his own. It is so helpful to be able to count on him to do some things on his own.

In addition, he knows nearly every upper and lower case letter in the alphabet. He is starting to be able to identify some of them by the sound they make. His can correctly handle a pencil and make precise markings or shape drawings. He is an excellent tracer. He also started playing the Wii and has vastly improved with the way he handles the controls. His hand eye coordination is right on. He is much better at throwing and hitting a ball, but we are still working on the catching thing without closing our eyes.  I saw him gallop yesterday, that's new!

He doesn't seem to be too aware of the fact we are moving again in three short months. I hope and pray he takes it as well as he did on the move just 1.5 short years ago to CO. We are sure going to miss all of the friends we made here!
