So today a couple of kids were talking about how they weren't excited about kindergarten next year because they wouldn't be in my class then. So Gavin thinks about it and says, as only HE can, "Well...I'll grow up and find someone nice to marry. We will have some kids, and I will bring them here so they can be in YOUR class!" LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! He's so smart! I, of course, told him that I certainly hope he does that! Awesome!
He has been telling me he wants Mrs. Julia to teach Kindergarten. He also told me he "wants to be with me for a billion infinity years." And he asked me when he can start working. I told him Shannon and I started working pretty young, that he should enjoy being five and all the years before he starts working. He told me, "That takes too long." Oh if only he knew!
Footnote: At 16, Gavin got a job at Autozone. At 17, he started working at Pet Supplies Plus. He loves having money of his own, but he works quite a few hours and it certainly keeps him busy!
