Gavin's first day of Kindergarten with Mrs. Elliott started today. He was so excited, he's been counting down the days for a week now. He has 5 boys and 3 girls in his class with him. I love the small size! Mrs. Elliott seems like she is going to have him well on his way to learning many new things for first grade next year. I enjoy that she does it all in 4 hours a day so I can have him back to hang with me in the afternoons for one more year!
He was a little dreary getting back into a routine this morning claiming he hoped "school isn't all work!" But he jumped right in after giving me a big hug. After school he was a bit disappointed he didn't get to do centers today, but other than that I think he had a successful day. They jumped right into learning sight words, one letter per day!
