Wii Fit Junkie

Yesterday we taught Gavin how to play the Wii Fit game. We set up his account and he did his body test and was given the ripe old Wii Fit age of 35. His momma though, mind you, got a Wii fit age of 28. Thank you very much! For those of you who know what the Wii Fit game is and how it works this post will be even funnier.

 Sunday's are usually the only days Gavin is allowed to play the Wii. This morning (Monday) he woke up and told me, "I have to play the Wii Fit today because the yoga man said I HAVE to practice yoga everyday." The instructor on the game actually does say that. I had a nice early morning laugh.

Charlotte's Web

We just finished reading another chapter book to Gavin, my childhood favorite, Charlotte's Web by E.B. White. He loved it and wanted us to continue reading long after our voices were tired.  I had forgotten how much I loved the story and how they teach the meaning of so many big, beautiful words. After we read the book we watched the movie (the remake with Dakota Fanning) and the old cartoon version from 1973. Both were a little different but very well done. Gavin enjoyed comparing all the different versions. Now to decide what our next chapter book will be.
