I wonder sometimes what you will remember a decade from now about March 2020- God knows when COVID-19 pandemic. Will it grace the history books? Will you remember it vaguely or will it leave a sense of trauma in your heart?
Well, today I experienced another loss. There isn't a single one of us that has escaped loss and experienced the onset of grieving those losses during the pandemic. From loved ones lost to jobs to vacations and experiences, so much loss.

Two years ago I applied for an incredible program that helps to support and boost small female Veterans and female spouses of Veterans business owners called VWISE. I got accepted and was over the moon to attend their conference in 2020 and keep the fire ignited for the business I'm trying to run. That was then postponed to 2021, which is now postponed for the foreseeable future, AGAIN, thanks to COVID.
I am T.I.R.E.D. So damn tired of loss. And even though you are 13 and probably don't grasp all this loss I know you are tired too. Like when you attended Vacation Bible School as a volunteer this summer, I thought for sure you'd hate me for signing you up. Instead, your socially deprived little being wanted to go early to hang with your friends and you begged to do it again next year, even if it meant staying with someone else if we have already moved. You were so happy to be with people again. I feel you.
At first I was sad that it got postponed again, then angry, then I got off my ass to do something. I can't sit and Netflix and chill till all this straight-up bullshit is over.
So I started searching ways to better myself, to improve my skills, to gain new skills to share with those that grace my yoga space. In my internet search I happened upon a certification in Somatic Yoga that's application was literally due, THE day I happened upon it. And I got accepted the same day! It begins exactly when I was to be attending the VWISE conference in Nashville, TN. AND it's all virtual!
If that isn't timing and fate that when one door closes, another door opens, I don't know what is.
The moral of this story in the great words of Ross from Friends, PIVOT! When shit doesn't play out the way you want it to, for the 3rd time, redirect your energy elsewhere. The Universe, the Divine, God they all want you to win at life, all you got to do is open the damn door.
You hear me son? Maybe you'll read this message divinely when you need it the most. If life isn't going your way, pivot.
