Riding Bikes

Gavin decided Saturday afternoon to ride his Strider bike up to Jonah's house. He rode that bike (slowly) all the way up the hill in our subdivision. When we turned the corner to Jonah's house he dropped his bike in Jonah's driveway. I told him Jonah was probably still napping. He said, "Wake up Jonah!" Turns out, inside, Jonah wasn't napping. He saw Gavin's bike in his driveway while looking out the window. Jonah said to his dad, "Gavin's bike outside!" So he put on his helmet and came riding his bike out the front door and to Gavin. Gavin was so happy to see Jonah wasn't napping and could go for an afternoon ride. Those boys rode, and rode, and rode up and down the hill in our subdivision. Gavin and Jonah would race and laugh and Gavin would yell, "I am speed" and make car noises. When it was time to go in Gavin cried and tried to steal his bike from the garage to go get Jonah.

It's great they have become such buddies. We're going to miss Jonah and his family when we leave Oklahoma!
