Try and Try Again

Gavin rode his Strider bike again yesterday with Jonah, this time at the track around the local park. They rode 3/4 of a mile! And towards the end Gavin finally fell. He slid down a hill into rocks, trees, and sticks. He was wearing his helmet but thankfully didn't even get a scratch! He said, "Mommy, I scared." He was shaking and crying a little and breathing heavy. But I told him, "It's okay, we all have accidents, you just have to get back up and try again." And I was so proud of him, he did! He got right back on and rode the rest of the way to the playground!

Oh Boy!

At nap today, both Shannon and I were at home getting the house ready to sell. Gavin was supposed to be napping. About 45 min after we put him down, Shannon hears, "Uh-oh Gavin get down!" Shannon ran into check, seeing if we had another incident of him climbing out of his crib. He had climbed out of the crib alright... and was sitting on top of his dresser. Apparently, he wanted a new diaper which was sitting on the dresser, so he climbed aboard to help himself.

Being added to our checklist of things to do... move crib away from dresser. Check!
