To Everything There is a Season

Gulf Shores AL

Life is full of seasons. Not just the obvious ones; spring, summer, fall, winter but subtle ones too; age, relationships, goals. Each stage of your life is a season. Each lesson learned, every inch of growth can create for you a new season in life, new opportunities. Some seasons of life seem to go by like the blink of an eye and others feel as if they will drag on forever with no end in sight. But each season has such important value in the person you become.

As I've grown older, I look out at my life and see it lying before me like an unfinished patchwork quilt. Full of color, life, patterns, a mix and match view of life's memories, life lessons. Some of these lessons I have had to learn time and time again only to still make the same mistake, and learn it once more. And every once in a while, a lesson is very clear, a solid color in the mix of chaos. A painful realization that a season has ended and another has begun. I hope someday you look out at your life, in quiet solitude, and see the beautiful quilt you've created. The people you have touched in life and the people that have touched yours.

And if it's very apparent that a season has ended and a new one will begin that you let the old go and reach out with open arms for the new. Life is short, it is only meant to be lived fully, completely in the moment, in the season you are in.
