Big Moon A Risin

One night we stayed up past our bedtime to watch the full moon rise over the mountain behind our house.

The three of us cuddled on the day bed swing in the dark, watching the stars, several shooting across the midnight blue horizon.
The edge of the mountain suddenly outlined in a yellow light as if the sun were about to come up, not the moon. Within a few minutes the soft white light crested the hill.
To give us a better idea of how fast the world is spinning it rose swiftly without delay above the mountain top. All three of us gaped in awe at this moment. Together in our forever home, soaking it all in.
