I've been trying to teach Gavin the names of baby animals. The geese at the park recently had goslings. I told him to keep his eye out for the baby goslings as we walked around the pond. He spotted them before I did, camouflaged in the shade of the grass. "Look mommy, I found the goslings." "He so cuuuuute!"
Other things he's mimicking lately, "Jis okay mommy."
In translation, "it's ok mom."
Apparently, "it's ok" is something Shannon and I say often. Here's a common conversation:
Mommy: Gavin did you pee your pants? Why didn't you tell mommy you had to potty? I would have taken you so we wouldn't have an accident."
Gavin: Jis okay mommy. I didn't pee.
Mommy: Pretty sure you did, your pants are soaked.
Gavin: Jis okay mommy.
