This past week was a week of great fun with family and friends. Nedra and Shane had an amazing wedding and a very fun wedding dance. Gavin was the star of the party just dancing the night away. He has his very own special dance moves. This night he experienced his first dance with a girl. A 7 yr old Jordan, asked Shannon if she could dance with Gavin. Shannon replied, "If you can catch him."
Well it wasn't long and she did. She held his hands and swayed slowly, only to have him pick up the pace to the slow song, practically shaking her arms out of their sockets. But she went along with those crazy Cummins moves and danced fast right with him. I got it on video to remember this special moment.
It wasn't a few songs later that Jordan told Shannon, "He keeps leaving me for cake, I just don't understand it!" Her mom smartly replied, "Just wait, soon they will leave you for beer." The night continued with Shannon dancing with Brandon's girlfriend from Columbia. She tried to teach him to salsa. They both got some good laughs!
I also got this special moment on video. Shannon ended the night dancing disco with Jordan (a poor substitute for Gavin) but she still had fun. And Gavin fell asleep near the stroke of midnight in Grandma Kay's arms. He had danced himself to sleep. It was a memorable night for all of us.

Me: Gavin, how was nap? Was it quiet? Was it special? Was it relaxing?
Gavin: Nope I was just sleeping.
