Christmas Program

Our first Christmas program at Gavin's preschool went much better than the Thanksgiving program.  That one was a little overwhelming for him, too many people, not a lot of participation on his part. This one was in his classroom and more personal. Each child brought gifts for baby Jesus (which were to be donated to a local charity for pregnant teens).  He said a few funny things I had to write here.

When one of his classmates parents brought in a small baby sibling Gavin asked the parent, "Is that baby Jesus?" Oh if only it were!

Gavin sat next to another small sibling of probably a year and a half old. The boy was eating his food and the food off of other abandoned plates and Gavin told the mother of the boy, "He eats well."  She laughed and replied, "Thank you."

And as we were wishing his teacher a Merry Christmas, he tells her daughter who was helping during her break from college, "I want to go home with you!"  Mrs Bradley looks at me and says, "He's taken a liking to her today."  Thanks Gavin, I know how much you appreciate your mom coming to your Christmas party and sharing this moment with you.  So much so that you'd like to go home with a newer, younger, hipper mom whose name was also Ms. Sarah.
