My friend Christie watched Gavin for me for a bit today. Gavin asked for food and Christie asked, "What would you like?" Gavin replied, "Something that's good for me and healthy." That's my boy!
Disclaimer: This is the only thing my son has said in weeks that I agree with. In fact, it's the only thing he's said in weeks that didn't make me want to send him to military school for preschoolers.
Santa for the Naughty
Gavin's elf on the shelf has been flying back to the north pole
reporting "thumbs down" for Gavin the last few weeks. Santa even sent
him a special email message that he was still on the naughty list but
that he had time to make it to the nice list by listening to his
parents. All of this has done little good, which is evident of last
night's bedtime challenge. An hour or so after putting him to bed it
sounds as if he's jumping off his bed and throwing books around the
room. (Books are the only thing in his room other than the necessities.)
Checking out the damage, there are books in piles everywhere. I asked
him what he was doing. He replies, "I'm Santa bringing presents to all
the naughty kids." I said, "Oh yeah, well I think Santa is a little bit
quieter."
