In addition, he drew a picture for grandma and wrote 'grandma' out with the right spelling by sounding it out. He also came home with an outstanding report card!
He had gone from Improving to Satisfactory on 'is courteous and respects authority.' He also got outstanding on rote counts to 30, can read color words, knows the names and sounds of letters taught, and uses adequate vocabulary to express ideas and expresses his own ideas before a group. Lastly, an outstanding on uses thoughts to give sensible answers. At the end of the day, I asked him what time it was. He walked up to our roman numeral manual clock and said, "6:00." It was 5:52. Again, the kid amazes me!
I am beyond proud of his improvement. As we approach making this decision for a kindergarten, I can only pray we put him into a school that will continue to help him excel at this rate!
