Most of you know food has become a passion for me. Since Gavin was born I have been working on learning about our food, how to eat right, and focusing on what's in the food we eat. I've recently really been on a kick and learned so much more than I knew before. What did I know before? Here are just a few:
Things like BPA (Bisphenol A) free, get rid of plastics and buy glass. BPA is also in almost all your canned goods so buy as few canned goods as possible. Avoid MSG and be aware of all the alternative labels that MSG hides in. http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html
Avoid high fructose corn syrup.
Buy only wild caught fish, never farmed. Do you really want to eat genetically modified fish?
Buy unsweetened Greek yogurt instead of the regular sweetened stuff with unnatural ingredients and add your own fruits and honey.
Buy meat from a farmer or buy animal products that are labeled grass or pasture fed without hormones and antibiotics.
